Wetlands International South Asia celebrated the 77th Independence Day of India by hoisting the national flag at its New Delhi office on August 15th, 2023. Dr Siddharth Kaul, President Wetlands International South Asia hoisted the tricolour in the presence of Dr Ritesh Kumar, Director Wetlands International South Asia and the office staff.
Later, Dr Kaul interacted with the organisation’s staff members and underlined the need to conserve wetlands throughout India and at the global level. He also emphasised the government’s commitment to protecting the nation’s wetlands. He emphasized that contact and conversation at the local level are crucial for preserving healthy wetland ecosystems.
The Wetlands International South Asia News Delhi office was specially adorned to celebrate the day with a strong sense of patriotism.
