Wetlands International South Asia is celebrating its silver jubilee anniversary this year.
It was in 1996 that we began our work on wetlands conservation in South Asia and at this important juncture, we want to celebrate our journey and chart out the future course with everyone concerned about these unique ecosystems.
Children and youth have a very special place in advocating for wetlands conservation, and spreading awareness on pressing issues that threaten wetlands. To mark this anniversary, we want to reach out to youth from schools, colleges and universities and capture their ideas on wetlands conservation.
We are launching a series of online contests for youth which will be open for submission from September 1, 2021 to November 15, 2021. We are calling all participants from 10-25 years of age to participate and win exciting prizes and student membership of our organisation. Through these contests, the participants will get an opportunity to express their understanding and relationship with nature.
There are four online contests lined up for students:
- Digital Photography
- Digital Poster
- Essay
- Slogan
