In an effort to create collective learning opportunities for the young fellows of Cohort 4.0 of C4Y Water Champions Youth Fellowship 2022, Wetlands International South Asia conducted a virtual session on Wetlands as solutions for water management in the #WaterSmartSolutions Boot Camps. This session was aimed to enhance the fellow’s learning on the water sector challenges and water smart solutions & strategies which are being steered by the prominent organisations & individuals in the country.
In this context, Suchita Awasthi (National Coordinator – IMWBES project) and Dhruv Verma (Senior Technical Officer) shared the organisation’s initiatives, experiences, wetland solutions and strategies with all the young designated fellows.
Some of the key discussion areas were capacity building and knowledge sharing around thematic areas like water security, Ecosystem-based Disaster Risk Reduction, Asian waterbird census, Wetlands Management, and strengthening national policy and programmes.
