Wetlands International South Asia conducted a session on Wetland – Mitras in an event to celebrate the iconic week under the Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav at Sanjay Lake, New Delhi hosted by Wetlands Authority of Delhi on 4th October 2021.
The event was meant for the individuals who have shown their enthusiasm to be enrolled as wetland mitras. The sessions were participatory and included a talk on the roles and responsibilities of wetland mitras, identifying pressing issues that need to be addressed for wetland conservations and actions that will be undertaken by wetland mitras in the first year. The session concluded with a pledge to safeguard and conserve wetlands for the wellbeing of all and the way forward in the upcoming months.
