There is nothing better than starting the new year with an experienced and passionate team in a new office. With 25 years of sustaining and restoring wetlands, their resources, and biodiversity in the South Asia region, Wetlands International South Asia has relocated within the city and moved to a new and bigger office space in the NSIC Business Park, Okhla Industrial Estate in New Delhi, India.
Dr Sidharth Kaul, President of Wetlands International South Asia, inaugurated the new office on January 23, 2023, in the presence of Dr Ritesh Kumar, Director of Wetlands International South Asia, and the entire organization’s team.
After the inauguration, the team members enjoyed a conversation at the lunch table, brainstorming new innovative ideas to further the mission of the organization.
The Wetlands International South Asia office in New Delhi (India) was established in 1996 as part of the Wetlands International network. During 25 years of work in India, the organization has formulated integrated plans for holistic management of several wetlands, conducted training courses for capacity development of wetland managers, undertaken inventory and assessments of wetland biodiversity and ecosystem services, and worked to enhance awareness of wetland values in society at large.
