Tuheina Thakur is a biodiversity conservation expert with over four years of experience. She has worked extensively in the Himalayan states of Uttarakhand, Sikkim, and Arunachal Pradesh. Tuheina has expertise in biodiversity assessment, Climate Change studies, and community engagement. She has conducted field research in the higher Himalayas to identify and predict the factors influencing the various threats to biodiversity and local communities’ well-being. She coordinates projects related to wetland management, hydrology, and biodiversity.

Tuheina holds a Master’s degree in Zoology and has previously worked on species-specific systematic surveys in the Himalayan landscape. She has also studied the impact of Climate Change on the Himalayan fauna at the Wildlife Institute of India.

Besides her work, Tuheina likes to practice a sustainable lifestyle and is keenly interested in sports and trekking.
