Tuheina is skilled in biodiversity assessment and conservation with over four years of experience. She has previously worked extensively in the Himalayan states of Uttarakhand, Sikkim, and Arunachal Pradesh on mammals and herpetofauna. She has conducted field research in the higher Himalayas delving into the complex relationships between biodiversity, ecosystem health and local communities. She coordinates projects related to wetland management, hydrology, and biodiversity.
Tuheina holds a Master’s degree in Zoology and has previously worked on species-specific systematic surveys in the Himalayan landscape. She has also studied the impact of Climate Change on the Himalayan fauna at the Wildlife Institute of India.
Besides her work, Tuheina likes to practice a sustainable lifestyle and is keenly interested in sports and trekking.
