Sridhar A. is the Senior Technical Officer at Wetland International South Asia.
He is part of the Coasts and Deltas portfolio of the organisation. He is currently working on updating the Integrated Management Planning frameworks of the Ashtamudi and the Sasthamkotta Wetlands in Kerala and is part of the Wetlands for Resilience programme.
Before joining Wetlands International South Asia, he worked as a dedicated researcher and consultant with a robust background in water resources, environmental sustainability, and societal well-being for the past eight years. He worked in project management and research roles across various institutions. His skill set includes strong quantitative and qualitative research abilities, proficiency in data analysis tools, and software development and programming. Sridhar has significantly contributed to evaluating water and sanitation projects, conducting post-disaster impact assessments, and aiding evidence-based policymaking. His academic credentials include an MSc. in Water Policy and Governance from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences and PG Diplomas in Urban Planning and Environmental Law, complemented by practical experience in the interface of water, environment and society. Beyond his professional work, Sridhar actively engages in environmental conservation and social activism. He is also a passionate birder and advocates for animal welfare initiatives.
