Saadan Hussain is a Junior Technical Officer with Wetlands International South Asia.
Saadan is highly motivated toward the Water Sector. The multi-disciplinary nature of water fascinates him. In Wetlands International South Asia, he contributes to the organization by working on Climate change and Green House Gases, plastic pollution in the wetlands along with other projects. His area of interest are Climate change and sustainability, water management and conservation, biodiversity and conservation, disaster resilience, and community, and policy building.
Saadan has been previously interning with Wetlands International South Asia, New Delhi, before that he has been among the Cohort of Water Youth Fellowship and has worked with the Asia Foundation on projects related to Water and Sanitary Hygiene. He has been organizing several environment-related programs and has served as the student head of the Eco-Club, at Sri Venkateswara College, University of Delhi.
Saadan holds an MSc in Environment Management from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. He advocates sustainable development goals and is quite vocal about it. He represented India in Global Goals Model United Nations, Malaysia, and was awarded Verbal Commendation in the World. Saadan is an active member of YOUNGO (Official Youth Constituency of UNFCCC).
