Dr Prathna TC is Wetlands Specialist with Wetlands International South Asia
Prathna holds a Master’s in Biotechnology and PhD in Nanotechnology from VIT University, India. She has completed three Post-Doctoral Fellowships from Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, Mohali and UNESCO-IHE Institute for Water Education, The Netherlands specializing in development of Point of Use (POU) drinking water treatment system using nano-adsorbents.
Prior to joining Wetlands International South Asia, she worked as a Chief Minister’s Urban Leaders Fellow in the Department of Irrigation and Flood Control with the Govt. of NCT of Delhi and was involved in projects related to cleaning of River Yamuna, rejuvenation of floodplains, decentralized wastewater treatment, design and engineering of constructed wetlands and revival of static water bodies. Prathna has more than thirty publications in peer reviewed international journals with an h-index of 15.
