Namita is Technical Officer with Wetlands International South Asia. She manages communications and capacity development activities of the organization.
She specializes in development communication, capacity building and empowerment, sustainability education, nature interpretation, and social research. Previously, she has worked with The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) where she led sustainability education and outreach projects. For a brief period, she also worked as adjunct faculty with the Department of Social Work, University of Delhi where she taught Green Social Work to post-graduate students.
She has also worked as a research consultant undertaking various baseline and programme evaluation studies for international and government organizations. She has a Master’s in Social Work from University of Delhi, from where she is also currently pursuing her Ph.D. on migrant integration and urban sustainability.
