To mark the World Wetlands Day, Wetlands International South Asia is organizing a half day event on 2nd February, 2020 at India International Centre, New Delhi.

Focussing on the theme of ‘Wetlands and Biodiversity’, the event seeks to highlight the role wetlands play in supporting myriad forms of biodiversity thereby contributing to food, water and livelihood security. The event will feature Key note address, and Panel discussion with eminent speakers bringing to fore the significance of healthy wetlands for conserving biodiversity. For promoting awareness and knowledge dissemination, posters and special edition of organization’s newsletter Sarovar will be released. As every year, the event will see participation from representatives of Government institutions, academia, civil society, private sector, media and experts. Mr. Suresh Prabhu, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, has kindly consented to be the Chief Guest and deliver Presidential Address.
