Wetlands International South Asia family is shocked and deeply pained at the sad demise of Padma Bhushan Dr Bindeshwar Pathak. We have lost a strong voice who spoke for the rights of the downtrodden and showed the pathway out of deep societal challenges.
We fondly remember the interaction with Dr Pathak when he delivered the keynote address at World Wetlands Day on February 2, 2022. In this moment of grief, we stand with the entire Sulabh Family and pray to the Almighty to give the strength to bear this colossal loss. While no one can even come close to being a harbinger of societal change as Dr Pathak, his vision and deeds will continue to live in the lives he touched.
