The MoEFCC and GIZ launched the IKI Wetlands Climate Change project today at an inception workshop held at New Delhi. The project will work towards integration of ecosystem services and climate risks dimensions in wetlands management planning. Four Ramsar Sites – Pong and Renuka in Himachal Pradesh, Bhitarkanika in Odisha and Point Calimere in Tamil Nadu have been identified as pilot sites. Wetlands International South Asia is a technical partner to the project.
