Han de Groot is the CEO of Wetlands International. He is leading the transition towards a new leadership after the long and very fruitful tenure of Jane Madgwick.
He joined the organization in March 2023. He most recently served as interim Executive Director of the Netherlands Food Partnership and previously was the Executive Director of Rainforest Alliance. He has a wealth of experience working in international NGOs and has been active in agricultural supply chains, biodiversity, and nature conservation. He also acted as a connector for many international Food and Agriculture companies for sustainable supply chain solutions.
