The Governing Body of Wetlands International South Asia met on September 21, 2018 to consider the annual report and financial statements for 2017-18.
New initiatives, such as assessment of wetlands loss, focus on capacity development of wetlands managers, improving effectiveness of management plan implementation and regional cooperation were appreciated. In line with decisions of the Governing Body, an institutional road map for strengthening the organization and enhancing preparedness for upscaling operations and regional presence shall be drawn-up.
