Taej has been involved in the AWC since 1991, when he coordinated the census from Wetlands International's Malaysia office (previously the Asian Wetland Bureau HQ). He now leads the development of the AWC programme from Wetlands International HQ and is the focal point for this regional and the global census. Taej also coordinates the Wetlands International - IUCN Specialist group network, Wetlands International’s Flyway Programme, chairs the CMS Scientific Council’s global Flyways Working Group and holds various posts and responsibilities under the East Asian - Australasian Flyway Partnership .
Doug has contributed extensively to the strengthening of the AWC over the last decades as the head of the Wetlands International Oceania office. He actively supports this work also through his current role as the Chair of the Monitoring of Waterbird Populations and Sites Task Force of the East Asian-Australasian Flyway Partnership.
Tom works on data management, analysis and communications for the AWC (and the IWC more generally) from Wetlands International HQ. He helps National Coordinators with data submissions, deals with data requests, producing reports and maintaining the web pages.
Akoijam Yaiphaba (Yai) Meetei
Yai works from the Wetlands International South Asia office in New Delhi and leads on the data management issues for the AWC in India.
Ritesh is the Conservation Programme Manager of the Wetlands International South Asia office and supports the AWC programme in India, with the support of Yai Meetei.
Lammert leads the maintenance and further developments of data reporting mechanisms, including the IWC online database. He is based at the Wetlands International HQ.
Paul supports the communication and outreach for the IWC. He is based at the Wetlands International HQ.
